Continue to improve a more commercial and proactive business-oriented approach. Faster responses and reviews involving contracts, opinions, presentations, etc. Manage risks while enabling business growth and initiatives. Increase the use of AI in all the legal and regulatory areas within the Lgeal Department while justifying the maintenance of the headcount. Pressure to replace headcount by AI tools and automated systems.

How have economic fluctuations, exchange‑rate volatility or supply‑chain pressures in 2026 influenced your legal priorities? 

Brazil continues to face challenges such as slow economic growth, high interest rates environment, deficiencies in the supply chains, fiscal uncertainty and a polarized environment involving the 2026 elections. Taking into account the above, alignment with the Finance Department internally to monitor and act prior to any kind of default or breach has been a priority. Also have become priorities: risk-aware governance; regulatory defense and contractual resilience.
