What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in? (Please mark anything confidential clearly, and feel free to speak in general terms if you wish, we’re just trying to describe the sort of work your team has been engaged with over the past year)

Our team has been actively engaged in M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, high-impact commercial negotiations, and corporate restructuring initiatives, with strong alignment to the company’s long-term strategic objectives.

What new pressures are you facing from the business as expectations for legal to act as a strategic partner continue to grow?

We are facing increasing pressure to combine legal rigor with speed and business pragmatism. The business expects Legal to move beyond a traditional control function and actively contribute to value creation, supporting decision-making in real time.

This includes deeper involvement in complex transactions, greater accountability for risk-reward trade-offs, and a stronger focus on enabling innovation while maintaining compliance. There is also a growing expectation for Legal to provide clear, actionable guidance rather than purely technical opinions, often under compressed timelines.

How is your organization adapting to the rapid evolution of data protection, AI governance and cybersecurity requirements in Brazil?

Our organization is adopting a structured and forward-looking approach to these evolving requirements, combining legal, compliance, and technology perspectives. In data protection, we continue to strengthen our governance framework in alignment with the LGPD. Regarding AI governance, we are closely monitoring emerging regulations and best practices, while implementing internal guidelines to ensure responsible and transparent use of AI tools.

On cybersecurity, we are reinforcing cross-functional coordination, particularly between Legal, IT, and Risk areas, to ensure robust prevention, detection, and response mechanisms. Overall, the approach is to balance regulatory compliance with operational flexibility, enabling the business to innovate securely.
