Legal executive with over 20 years of experience leading Legal, Compliance, ESG, and risk management areas in highly regulated, complex, and multicultural environments. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to integrating the legal function into corporate strategy, positioning it as an essential pillar for generating sustainable value, mitigating risks, and strengthening organizational culture. My work is marked by the construction of ethical, efficient, and future-oriented frameworks capable of protecting corporate integrity while driving responsible business growth.

I have significant international experience, leading projects and teams in different geographies and regulatory contexts, with strong adaptability and strategic vision. Among my main projects, I highlight the conception and implementation of transformational compliance programs, in which I repositioned the area as a true business partner and agent of cultural change. I developed innovative digital systems, such as a contract management platform with customized workflows and electronic signature integration, which significantly increased the efficiency of the legal area and stakeholder engagement.

I also implemented the use of dashboards and KPIs based on whistleblowing channel data, providing a real-time view of compliance risks across multiple countries and business units. I led the standardization of contractual and supplier management processes throughout Latin America, significantly reducing response times and increasing the quality of deliverables. In the field of corporate integrity, I led the automation of third-party due diligence processes and the regional implementation of anti-corruption policies. I structured a Financial Intelligence Unit with automated reporting to COAF (Brazilian Financial Intelligence Agency), creating a benchmark in the sector and with regulatory authorities.

Also, I have extensive experience in strategic transactions, having simultaneously led more than nine mergers and acquisitions processes in countries such as Brazil, Spain, Norway, and India, from due diligence to post-acquisition integration. I also led a complex corporate restructuring in Brazil, executing more than 22 corporate operations over an 18-month period in a highly regulated environment.

Furthermore, I have played a significant role in conducting high-risk internal investigations with significant reputational and regulatory impacts, always ensuring technical rigor and governance. In the academic and institutional spheres, I work as an MBA professor and international speaker on topics such as corporate governance, ESG, compliance, and legal strategy. I hold a law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and UFRGS, a master’s degree in Business Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), a postgraduate degree in Compliance from FGV-SP, and am currently a doctoral candidate in International Relations at UCM. I am a member of the SCCE, ICAM, OAB-SP, and the LATAM Committee of LEC. Currently, I serve as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Latin America at Bureau Veritas Group.
