Patricia Ulian joined Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) as the general counsel and legal director for South America, in May 2018. She has 25 years of in-house and private practice experience across different sectors including logistics, financial services, and construction. Ulian joins the multinational agribusiness as an established general counsel having previously held the same role at Cummings, which saw her be featured in the GC Powerlist: Brazil Teams 2017. Ulian has a solid background in all corporate matters, internal policies, compliance issues and regulated markets, as well as regional structuring, implementation and the development of successful compliance programs. Additionally, she is proficient in tax, environmental law and commercial legal areas. ADM launched its operations in Brazil in 1997 and is now one of the country’s largest soybean producers as well as bottled vegetable oils, employing over 3,000 people at processing plants across the country.
