Fabio Spina is in charge of global legal affairs at Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN), one of the largest steel producers in Latin America. Spina, a widely renowned lawyer, has assisted in enabling the organisation to compete in the globalised and increasingly complex market. Spina has taken a guiding role in ensuring that the organisation is well protected against regulatory, strategic, operating and financial risks during a particularly challenging time for CSN. He has upheld strict guidelines and methodologies in order to ensure that the establishment operates at a universally high standard. The competent and versatile Spina additionally introduced a modified compliance program, created to regulate the activities of third party personnel and company employees. The compliance program ensures that the group’s endeavours comply with internal policies and regulations in addition to guidelines issued by regulatory authorities.
