Susanne Marston is an experienced legal counsel who fully understands the business, partnering with executive leaders to accelerate global business goals and how to build a strong team with a core culture of integrity. Marston is the current vice president and general counsel for APM Terminals in Netherlands, a company that operated a global terminal network of 20,300 employees in five continents which include 65 operating port and terminal facilities in 39 countries and over 160 inland services with operations in 47 countries. As a member of the company’s executive team, Marston assists in guiding the legal department in providing legal support to the port management and operations to over 60 liner shipping customers who serve the world’s leading importers and exporters of containerised and other cargoes. Prior to this role she served as vice president and chief counsel – EMEA where she led a team of 42 law professionals and was a member of EMEA senior management. During this role, she had responsibility for handling all the legal aspects of doing business in Europe, Middle East and Africa, including matters involving intellectual property issues and the implementation of tax strategies.
