Since joining Evraz Group in 2015, Natalia Gulyaeva has provided legal advice on all matters of the Luxembourg Evraz Group company. Prior to this she was at EvrazHolding Russia as lead counsel, corporate and international affairs: ‘After moving to Luxembourg, I encountered individuals and situations that I was not used to or had never experienced, but each enabled me to intellectually grow and mature in intangible ways. I expended my career network, got knowledge and experience of the EU law’, says Gulyaeva. Her other most pivotal career highlights include the expansion of her professional development as she was recently appointed as Group DPO, a newly created role that has proven challenging, however has enabled Gulyaeva to greatly develop her skills. ‘It demands a profound knowledge of data protection law and practices and complete understanding of the IT infrastructure, technology and technical and organisational structure’. In 2017, Gulyaeva set up and headed a non-profit association Just Law, the members of which are united in their common goal of promoting profession, legal, tax and scientific relations between the EU and CIS countries.
