Van Oers United is an internationally operating supplier and producer of fresh vegetables, with the business goals of strengthening its development with its chain partners and reinforcing availability, quality and efficiency through sustainable entrepreneurship. Marten Bezemer serves as the company’s head of legal affairs and brings his expertise as a legal generalist with in-house experience in the transportation, aerospace, telecommunications, consumer electronics and fresh produce industry. As the head of legal affairs, Bezemer is responsible for all legal matters within the Van Oers Group with activities not only in the Netherlands but also Senegal, Morocco, Ethiopia and South America. Prior to joining he served as an of-counsel at I4Safety, a company that advices in the areas of transportation of dangerous goods. Whilst there he provided training of staff, compliance programs, inspection of goods as well as ad hoc legal advice. Other career stints include serving as a products counsel at Ecoforte, a leading manufacturer in the Dutch garden furniture industry, and working as an associate general counsel E&A at Plantronics, a leader in the headset business.
