With 18 years of in-house experience in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions, Bruno Favre, has vast experience of leading in multicultural environments in the food and beverages sector. Favre joined Danone Specialized Nutrition in July 2017 after diverse in-house roles in Europe and Asia, where he says he deals with Danone’s ‘dual projects to redefine success and ensure social progress, with compliance and ethics as strong pillars’. During his time at Danone, Favre was involved in the buying out of a historical joint venture partner in Australia and the organisation transitioning to a new business model. Favre has been central to initiating an inclusive approach with the business and teams at global, divisional and country levels. ‘No “us and them” but one team working together to enable a sustainable business an position the legal and compliance functions’, says Favre. Prior to joining Danone, Favre was assistant general counsel Europe for Bacardi in Switzerland, where he provided legal support to EU and Asia Pacific leadership teams. In April 2013 he was promoted to general counsel Asia Pacific where he was a member of the Asia Pacific business leadership team and global leadership team. He previously worked for major oil and energy company Total in Paris, initially joining as legal counsel and then later assuming the position of legal regional manager for Southeast Asia.
