Sabine Angerer
Head of Legal and Compliance | Greiner
Team size: 20
What are the most significant cases, projects, or transactions that you and your legal team have recently been involved in?
Over the past year, my team has been involved in a number of strategically important projects, including major transformations and regulatory initiatives.
How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
In times of instability, the legal function must act as both a safeguard and a strategic partner. My approach is centred on clear communication, prioritisation, and adaptability.
What does being strategic mean to you?
For me, besides actively contributing to the direction of the business, this also means simplifying complexity, enabling innovation within a compliant framework, and ensuring that legal considerations are embedded early in decision-making processes.
What do you think are the most important attributes for a modern in-house counsel to possess?
A modern in-house counsel must combine legal expertise with strong business acumen. Key attributes include clear communication and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-changing environment.
Equally important is emotional intelligence – understanding stakeholders’ perspectives and building trust across the organisation.
