What are the most significant cases, projects, or transactions that you and your legal team have recently been involved in?

Over the past year, my team has been involved in several strategically important projects across the Semperit Group. These included complex cross-border M&A activities, supporting the geographic expansion of the business, and the negotiation of high-value commercial contracts with global partners.

A key focus has also been the strengthening of our compliance framework and our internal governance structures, such as contract management processes and whistleblowing systems to ensure robustness, transparency, and efficiency across all jurisdictions in which we operate.

In addition, the legal team has played a central role in supporting business transformation initiatives, ensuring that legal risk management is closely aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

In times of instability, the role of the legal function is to provide clarity, structure, and pragmatic guidance. My approach is based on three pillars: early risk identification, close alignment with management, and clear prioritisation.

We focus on maintaining transparent communication with key stakeholders, ensuring that legal risks are understood and integrated into decision-making processes. At the same time, we aim to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions that enable the organisation to remain agile while staying compliant.

Building resilient structures in advance – including robust compliance systems, clear governance frameworks, and well-defined escalation processes – is essential. This preparation allows us to respond swiftly and effectively when crises arise.

By achieving all this my team has evolved into a key resource of the business to ask for advice, to challenge new ideas, and to develop creative solutions.
