Career Biography

Christian W. Schaumann is Global Head of Legal & Compliance (General Counsel) at Teufelberger, one of the leading manufacturers of fiber ropes, steel ropes and strapping bands. In this role, he is responsible for legal advice and the compliance management system for the entire Teufelberger Group, in particular for general legal advice, contract law, M&A, corporate governance (housekeeping), compliance, data protection and the introduction of digital solutions for in-house legal services.

Prior to this, he was Head of Compliance at Greiner AG, one of the world’s leading companies for plastics and foam solutions, following his long-term engagement as General Counsel of Greiner Bio-One, the healthcare division in the Greiner group.

His more than 25 years’ experience as an in-house legal counsel in various industrial companies forms the basis for solution-oriented legal advice as well as the introduction and implementation of compliance management systems.
