Alexi Costa is a lawyer in the business and private bank product legal team which supports product owners in managing existing products, delivering improvements, and developing new products. His primary focus in on business account and card products, and he also supports business lending.  

Alexi supported NAB in developing alternative electronic processes during the pandemic to allow NAB and its customers to continue operating as normal. Due the sudden nature of the lockdowns imposed in Australia, the alternative processes needed to be customer friendly and capable of being quickly implemented while minimising any new risks to NAB.  These processes were developed creatively using available resources.  

The work undertaken during Covid-19 laid the groundwork for NAB to become more digital, particularly in product origination in the business space.  Alexi has supported these digital initiatives, which have not only made it easier for customers to apply for eligible products but also helped reduced process error rates by reducing human touch points.  

Alexi is a firm believer in empowering people through knowledge and education to improve their circumstances and their ability to progress in business, better navigate the complexities of daily life and develop the ability to self-help where appropriate. This translates into his work where he seeks to educate his stakeholders and encourage them to undertake their work in a more efficient and complete manner and make it easier for customers to interact with NAB.  

He is also a director of the Greek Community of Melbourne, a not-for-profit community responsible for arranging and hosting several public events in and around Melbourne (including the Lonsdale Street Festival and Greek Film Festival) and operates Greek Language Schools, Alphington Grammar.  He is also involved in his family business.
