Since June 2013, Anna Lenahan has acted as group executive group general counsel and company secretary of the Suncorp Group. After joining the company in March 2011 as group general counsel and company secretary, Lenahan is now responsible for legal and company secretariat services across the entire Group, leading the 140-strong legal and secretariat business unit for the ASX 50-listed company. Lenahan has close links to senior management in advising the Group CEO and the Board of Directors, and has been actively involved in a number of the Group’s strategic initiatives. These include the strategic legal review program, various capital raising initiatives and the resolution of the non-core bank portfolio. Lenahan has facilitated a number of significant transactions including the sale of a non-core portfolio of assets in 2013. In addition to her excellent track record, she proves her value to the group in other ways; mentoring a number of senior and high-potential females within the Suncorp Group. Prior to joining Suncorp, Lenahan was a corporate partner at Allens Arthur Robinson (now Allens Linklaters) where she had a large corporate and commercial practice, working with some of Australia’s leading financial services organisations. She has also been a crown prosecutor with the Department of Public Prosecutions in Perth.
