Group general counsel and head of corporate development | LOGOS Property Group

About

Over the past 19 years Natalie Allen has worked in both corporations and top tier law firms, covering a range of different areas including real estate, fund management, corporate governance and transactions. Her roles have involved both an Australian and international focus with experience across Australia, Asia, the US and Europe. During her career she has held senior roles with Mirvac Group, Charter Hall Group and Macquarie Real Estate Capital, joining LOGOS Property in October 2015 to head up a team of five lawyers based in Sydney, China, Singapore and India. She created this multinational, cross-border in-house legal department as LOGOS Property’s first group general counsel, and has successfully implemented risk management, compliance, health and safety and environment systems in all jurisdictions to match the high level of growth of the business.

With a proven track record in establishing new businesses at LOGOS Property, including establishing joint venture businesses in new markets in Singapore and India, she has demonstrably helped the company build as well as ensure that legal compliance frameworks are in place to support the company expansion. She has also been involved with managing the sell down of part of the LOGOS business to Ivanhoe Cambridge, a current shareholder, and establishing funds in Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, India and China. Further proving her multi-jurisdictional talent, Allen established the India business in a joint venture with a local Indian business partner. This involved what Allen describes as the ‘negotiation of the term sheet with our partner, negotiating and documenting the joint venture and establishing the business plan, policies and procedures for the business. This was a continued development of my ability to project manage and drive complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions’. Allen is qualified to practice law in California as a member of the State Bar of California as well as in Australia.
