Alexandra Heysen is an experienced litigation counsel and associate director based in Sydney, first joining Macquarie Group in November 2014 after a glittering career at the Royal Bank of Scotland, the Khan Partnership, and in private practice. Dual qualified in England and Wales and Australia, Heysen handles all litigation matters for Macquarie Group across its diverse financial services. Macquarie Group is a global powerhouse in financial services with an asset management, corporate and asset finance, commodities and global markets, capital and financial services and banking divisions.

Heysen, as a counsel in the group legal department, is part of a wider group that handles all of Macquarie’s legal needs from litigation to transactional support, and a separate provides corporate governance advice. This robust team, of which Heysen is a key member, ensures that transactions are enforceable, gives legal advice to Macquarie’s internal businesses, handles litigations and disputes, as well as proactively protects the company’s reputation, interests and rights.
