Central Puerto’s ‘reliable, competent and technically skilled’ legal team drew praise from nominators for its ability to seamlessly facilitate investments undertaken by the business in the national and international energy markets. The company has experienced exponential growth in the past few years, and currently boasts an installed capacity of nearly 4,000MW, which represents 12% of one of Argentina’s two energy systems SADI (Sistema Argentino de Interconexión, Argentine Interconnected System), and 17% of the installed capacity of private generators. Overseen by Jose Manuel Pazos, the legal department has been a fundamental part of this process thanks to its flawless execution of corporate transactions and delivery of excellence and efficiency on an operational level. Having facilitated Central Puerto’s recent merger activity, the team is currently involved in supporting the company’s upcoming United States IPO, which could see it sell in excess of $100m to the public.
