German Guillermo Pennimpede joined Coca-Cola FEMSA in February 2017 as its legal and corporate affairs director, and is responsible for managing the company’s legal, public affairs, corporate communication and sustainability issues in Argentina and Uruguay. Coca-Cola FEMSA is the largest sales volume franchise bottler of Coca-Cola and has been present in Argentina since 1994, with over 3,000 employees and 12.2 million consumers in the country. The company has a particular focus on developing a sustainability strategy, which aims to simultaneously generate economic, social and environmental values to transform the communities where the company operates. Before joining Coca-Cola FEMSA, Pennimpede worked at Samsung Electrics as a senior legal, public affairs and compliance manager for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. He started his in-house career in 2011, where he served as Pernod Ricard’s legal, public affairs and compliance manager for Latin America. He also has almost 10 years of private practice experience, having previously worked for a number of leading Latin American law firms, including Estudio Beccar Varela and Pinheiro Neto Advogados. He holds law degrees from the University of Buenos Aires and UMSA.
