The company operates in the supermarket, home improvement, department store, shopping centre and financial services sectors, providing the largest square footage of commercial space in the Southern Cone. At the time of writing, Cencosud has 334 stores in Argentina and earns US$2.6m in revenue. With 25 years of experience, Mechetti is an experienced leader and legal talent particularly in relation to M&A and legal team management. In March 2018, Cencosud opened a new store under its Vea brand called Exodo Jujuy in Northern Argentina, and such activity, supported by Mechetti, has continued to play a major role in the company’s growth in the country.
