A corporate lawyer with wide experience of working in-house at multinationals, Martín Castro is the current president of the Argentina Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). Since 2009, Castro has held regional responsibility for Bridgestone’s legal affairs in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru, and Paraguay. More recently, his role has expanded to cover ethics and compliance matters in these markets while handling relations with the Argentine government. He has previously served as legal manager and chief compliance officer for the Southern Cone region at Praxair Argentina, where he helped to restructure the legal department and drove substantial efficiency savings; and legal counsel at Telefónica Móviles and Movicom BellSouth Argentina, where he led the two companies’ merger and oversaw antitrust approval proceedings. Known as one of Argentina’s finest legal minds and a consistent in-house innovator, Castro received a large number of nominations from a wide range of sources.
