Cape Town-based Joel Motsweng Baepi heads legal and corporate affairs for Old Mutual’s emerging markets division and works closely with legal teams in the company’s UK-headquarters to oversee legal affairs. Other leading figures include Marco Vollgraaff, who serves as head of legal and compliance at Old Mutual Namibia, the most profitable part of Old Mutual’s operations in Africa, while legal heads in Ghana and Nigeria also contributed to a strong performance for the business.
