With a career of 24 years at a leading financial institutions in Casablanca, Dr Mostafa Abadou is among the most distinguished North African corporate counsel, widely praised for his knowledge of banking, financial security and regulation. For 12 years Dr Abadou has served as a director of legal affairs at Société Générale Maroc, a period of significant achievement defined by impressive transactional victories and operational improvements.

In more recent years, he has supported the bank’s digital transformation strategy, which culminated recently with the launch of its online banking platform, Bankaty. In September, Dr Abadou moved to a director of compliance position, where he ensures that the bank adheres to all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Abadou spent the first eleven years of his career as a deputy director of the legal and compliance centre at the Central People’s bank in Casablanca.
