Erhi Obebeduo has been an integral part of the in-house legal function of one of Nigeria’s premiere financial institutions, Guaranty Trust Bank, since late 2011. Obebeduo is as comfortable in the specialist areas of litigation, recovery and investor relations support work as in more generalised legal advice.

On top of this, Obebeduo was involved in company secretarial duties relatively soon upon joining the company, marshalling and organising board reports and meetings, and had a significant role to play in the bank’s response to changing regulatory requirements.

Successes here and elsewhere manifested themselves in a greater degree of responsibility being given to him, and in January 2017 Obebeduo was promoted to the role of head of the legal group and company secretary. This is testament to the excellent level of service he has provided over many years.
