About

Nestlé’s history in Nigeria can be traced to 1961, when the company launched its subsidiary Nestlé Products (Nigeria). Today it operates a number of landmark production facilities in the country, as well as major R&D and quality assurance centres in Abidjan.

Bode Ayeku is well-versed in all aspects of Nestlé’s diverse regional operations, having served as a company secretary and legal advisor for a decade. Besides supporting important commercial initiatives, such as a recent purchase of a large bottled water plant and major expansion plans in South-East and Southern regions of the country, over his tenure at the company Ayeku has taken proactive steps to mitigate company-wide risks. In addition, he has been working closely to senior management to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations across the structure of the business, fostering a close cooperation to the benefit of the company.

Prior to his current role, Ayeku served as a deputy company secretary at Nestlé Nigeria for three years. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Nigeria and the UK and is qualified as a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and was called to the Bar in 1992. He holds an LLM in law from the University of Lagos and has accumulated over 20 years of post-qualification experience.
