Sulzer is a world leading specialist manufacturer of industrial flow control applicators specialised in pumping solutions, services for rotating equipment and separation and mixing technology. Its in-house legal team continues to impress since its previous inclusion in the GC Powerlist: Switzerland Teams 2016, and is known for its legal and commercial ability. Last year the team worked on the acquisition of GTC Technology US, a technology company specialised in aromatics and other petrochemical processes and systems. It is an important acquisition because it strengthens the company’s process licensing and other proprietary business with an expected value of CHF39bn. Additionally, the team also contributed to the partnership agreement between Sulzer and Tamturbo, providing cooperation on high-speed air compression technology products designed for industrial purposes. The agreement covers the pulp and paper, food, metals and mining and chemical processing industries.
