Florian Osman is Group General Counsel of Bemberg Capital, the investment holding company of the Bemberg Family, and Quilvest Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on the lower mid-market, with nearly €6.5 billion in assets under management. Based in Paris, he advises the group’s governing bodies, senior management, and investment and fundraising teams on a broad range of legal, regulatory, transactional and governance matters. He leads an international legal team supporting the group’s activities across Europe, the United States and the Middle East. Prior to joining Quilvest and Bemberg Capital, he worked in private practice in Luxembourg and New York before joining the Emirates Investment Authority, the sovereign wealth fund of the federal government of the United Arab Emirates.

Among the key transactions that shaped his work in 2026, Florian led the legal execution of the sale of Quilvest (Switzerland) Ltd., the group’s Zurich-based private bank, to EFG International, overseeing the execution of the transaction and coordinating its various regulatory and governance aspects across multiple jurisdictions.

He also advised on Quilvest Capital Partners’ full exit from BBB Foods (Tiendas 3B), one of Mexico’s leading discount grocery retailers. Following the company’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 2024, he coordinated the various monetisation steps that ultimately resulted in the full disposal of Quilvest’s stake following the expiry of the post-IPO lock-up period in August 2026. Originally made in 2004, the investment became one of the most successful in the platform’s history, generating approximately US$1.1 billion in value for investors.

Florian also led the structuring and launch of Quilvest’s latest Buyout fund, a European lower mid-market strategy currently being raised from professional investors, with a €400 million fundraising target.

Alongside his transactional and fund structuring responsibilities, Florian holds several governance roles within the group. In 2026, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the group’s regulated Luxembourg management company (AIFM).

Convinced that direct dialogue between general counsel creates real value, Florian co-founded the ‘GC Club Paris, Connecting General Counsels in Investment and Private Markets’ in September 2026 with Semih Bayar Eren.  The Club brings together Paris-based senior legal leaders of investment and private markets firms, across asset classes.  Its purpose is to build a circle of trust in which peers share experience and exchange views on market, regulatory and other practical developments.  While technology accelerates processes, trust cannot be automated.
