Career Biography

Doris Thangei is currently the Company Secretary C Legal Services Director at Kenya Wine Agencies Ltd, a role she has served in for the last 17 years. Doris is a Certified Public Secretary (CPS-K), an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public, an Accredited Governance Auditor and a member of both the Law Society of Kenya and the Institute of Certified Secretaries. 

Doris holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB.) and a Master of Business Administration both from the University of Nairobi, and a Higher Diploma in Information Technology from Strathmore University. She is also a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), International Association of Privacy Professionals. 

In her role, Doris contributes as internal legal lead for business transformation initiatives and, together with her team provides cross functional legal support to the organisation. To deliver more effectively on its mandate, the team is increasingly adopting technology to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls and generate better insights across compliance monitoring and governance processes.
