Career Biography

Stefan Fuehrer pursued legal studies in Vienna, St. Gallen, Madrid, and Chicago and holds master’s degrees in law from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and Northwestern University, Chicago. His academic education was complemented by numerous international research and professional engagements. Following several years of practice with CMS, a leading international law firm in Vienna, he successfully completed the Austrian bar examination. He subsequently served for several years as Head of the Legal & Compliance Department of an international investment bank, during which time he also assumed responsibility for the management of its Austrian branch. In his current professional practice, Stefan Fuehrer serves as (external) General Counsel to Schmid Industrieholding, a holding company comprising leading international industrial enterprises.
