Career Biography
Sieglinde Pfadenhauer is Head of Legal at ÖBB Rail Cargo Group, where she leads a team of 30 legal professionals and is responsible for all legal matters across the Group, including corporate governance, corporate law, M&A, contract law, competition law, litigation, intellectual property, data protection, insurance and claims management. She serves as the central point of contact for Management Board and Supervisory Board matters and oversees the Group’s participation management activities across an extensive international portfolio of subsidiaries.
Having joined the ÖBB Group in 2004, Sieglinde has held a number of senior legal leadership positions, including Head of Participation Management and General Legal Advice. Throughout her tenure, she has led numerous corporate transactions, restructuring projects and governance initiatives, while supporting the legal affairs of subsidiaries across Austria and international markets. Her experience includes M&A transactions, due diligence processes, corporate reorganisations and the continuous development of corporate governance frameworks.
Prior to joining ÖBB Rail Cargo Group, Sieglinde worked in advisory roles at KPMG Financial Advisory Services and Deloitte, where she specialised in audit, corporate valuation and transaction-related matters. She brings extensive experience in participation management, contract negotiations, change management and the development of legal functions within complex organisations.
Sieglinde holds a degree in Law (Mag. iur.) from the University of Vienna and has completed a range of executive leadership and professional development programmes. She is recognised for her strategic approach, strong leadership capabilities and ability to guide organisations through complex legal and business challenges.
