As Chief Legal Officer of Iochpe-Maxion S.A., a global leader in the production of automotive wheels and a key manufacturer of structural components in the Americas, she oversees legal strategy across multiple jurisdictions and plays a central role in supporting senior leadership and the company’s global operations.

Flavia began her career in top-tier law firms in Brazil and Mexico, where she spent over a decade advising domestic and international clients on M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, and corporate restructurings. Since joining Iochpe-Maxion in 2013, Flavia has been instrumental in transforming the company’s legal function into a strategic business partner. She was appointed General Counsel in 2018 and later Chief Legal Officer, reflecting her growing influence within the organization and her contribution to strengthening governance, enhancing cross-functional collaboration, and embedding legal insight at the core of decision-making.

Her tenure has been marked by a series of high-impact initiatives across capital markets, finance, and corporate governance. Flavia led the legal structuring of the company’s first sustainability-linked bond in international markets, as well as other complex debt management initiatives, including covenant renegotiations and financing transactions, enhancing resilience and flexibility during periods of market volatility.

Flavia has further distinguished herself through her leadership in innovative investment structures and strategic projects. She supported the company’s first venture capital investment, contributed to the development of structured initiatives, and oversaw multi-jurisdictional reorganizations aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. In parallel, she has driven the digitalization of legal processes, strengthening governance frameworks and improving efficiency across key jurisdictions.

She is also recognized for her leadership in governance and ESG. Flavia has been closely involved in embedding sustainability into corporate governance and decision-making processes, working alongside investor relations and executive teams to align disclosure, strategy, and stakeholder expectations with evolving global standards.

Flavia holds a law degree from the Federal University of Bahia and an LL.M. in Corporate Law from Ibmec-RJ.
