Career Biography
María Isabel Castillo Artiga is a corporate lawyer specialising in insurance law, corporate governance and regulatory risk management. She boasts a consolidated track record in the insurance sector and in the corporate legal field in Central America. María Isabel currently serves as Legal Manager at ASESUISA, where she leads the strategic management of the organisation’s legal affairs, acts as the company’s legal representative and oversees the corporate secretary.
In this role, María Isabel is responsible for the coordination of the general secretariat and the design of initiatives that integrate the legal perspective within the processes and projects of the business. Her work focuses on strengthening strategic decision-making through the identification, analysis and management of regulatory risk, as well as on the generation of legal solutions that allow the organisation to operate efficiently and sustainably in complex regulatory environments.
