Wellington is an executive-level legal professional and business leader with over 23 years of experience spanning private law firm practice and in-house counsel roles across different industry sectors, including mobile telecommunications, banking/financial services and consumer goods. Wellington has a demonstrable skillset including business leadership, people leadership and development, crisis and issue management, business transformation (including corporate transactions) and external engagement, among others. His career has also taken an academic bend, having lectured at the University of Zimbabwe’s School of Law for 8 years simultaneously with his corporate career. Among his achievements, Wellington has been a C-suite leader across different industry sectors with both local and global corporates, has led diverse and multi-cultural teams across continents and jurisdictions, has led governance and advised executives and boards, has led successful regulatory engagements across Africa, and led and delivered complex, high-value continental and global high-value projects and transactions.
Wellington is passionate about inspiring and helping others realise their full potential, starting with the teams he leads and across the wider business and industry.
