She has led mission-critical regulatory engagements, including registering a fund manager’s structured investment product with Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission and supporting the registration of a ₦50 billion bond programme for deployment into a power distribution subsidiary.
Olubusola also oversaw the legal and structural advisory for MBO Capital’s aviation operations, including cross-jurisdictional aircraft acquisitions, leases, charter operations, and ownership structures spanning the Isle of Man, and Nigeria. Her transactional leadership further includes advising on infrastructure financing of up to ₦4 billion, coordinating a US$2.5mn cross-border investment into a South African building materials company, and supporting a US$1bn fundraising initiative for a supranational African organisation. She has also guided film-financing investments totalling more than US$3mn and ₦2bn in Nigeria’s entertainment sector which were geared towards the development of Nigeria’s film and entertainment sector and also advised on intercreditor arrangements involving leading financial institutions ensuring bankability of lender documentation.
Previously, Olubusola served as a Short-Term Consultant on the International Finance Corporation’s Corporate Governance Programme in Nigeria, supporting sector-wide governance enhancements within financial institutions. Her foundation in legal advisory was built at Olaniwun Ajayi LP, Nigeria’s foremost law firm with offices across Nigeria and the United Kingdom where she practiced as Counsel and later Senior Counsel in the Banking and Finance and Energy teams. Olubusola transitioned to a GC-at-large role at MBO after a decade; and in the summer of 2025, returned to working with start-ups in a fractional GC capacity “because start-ups benefit the most from expert GC stewardship but often find cost to be inhibitive”.
