Career Biography
I’m a seasoned attorney passionate about implementing legal strategies for fintech, large infrastructure and renewable energy projects across multiple jurisdictions.
My work spans the United States, Brazil, and Argentina – covering corporate legal matters, M&A transactions, cross-border financing agreements, commercial and construction matters, risk management, and compliance frameworks for multinational operations. I particularly enjoy structuring joint ventures, navigating competitive tender processes, and building legal frameworks for companies expanding across the Americas.
In my current role as Head of Legal US at Greening Group Americas Corp. based in Miami, I lead legal strategy for US operations, reporting directly to the CEO and Group General Counsel.
Greening Group is a global renewable energy company specialising in the engineering, construction, and development of renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on photovoltaic and energy efficiency solutions such as battery storage (BESS). In the United States, the company is in a dynamic growth phase.
In this role, I have led the team in achieving significant milestones, including negotiating a joint venture agreement with Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure to establish a 1-GW solar and battery storage development pipeline with US$15mn in initial project funding, and closing multiple EPC contracts for utility-scale solar PV projects.
Prior to joining Greening, I served as Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at VeriFone, Inc., overseeing all legal matters across the region, including intellectual property, commercial law, and labour and employment matters. I developed and implemented the region’s first comprehensive risk assessment framework.
As Partner at Ortiz & Asociados in Buenos Aires, I headed the Brazilian Desk and advised numerous clients in Argentina’s RenovAR Renewable Energy tender auctions, securing over 700 MW in renewable projects. Earlier in my career, I served as a senior attorney at Invepar in Brazil, where I structured, among other transactions, a $4.2 billion loan for SP GRU Airport. I also practiced as a senior lawyer at the renowned law firm Machado Meyer, Sedacz & Opice in Brazil and Rosso Alba, Francia & Asociados in Argentina. I hold an LL.M. from Columbia University School of Law, where I was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar for Academic Excellence and received the Parker School Certificate for International Studies. I also earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and the Universidad Austral in Argentina, where I graduated with honours in the top 5% of my class.
I’m admitted to practice in Florida (AHC), Argentina, and Brazil, and work in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
