How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
I believe that periods of instability or crisis are always a possibility. For that reason, I focus on anticipation through continuous intelligence gathering, situational analysis, and forward-looking assessments. This approach enables a timely and strategic response – whether to confront, manage, neutralise, or even leverage such scenarios. While variables are inevitable, anticipation allows for agile adaptation and alignment of legal strategy with evolving circumstances.
What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?
Recently, I have been involved in strategic litigation and high-impact negotiations requiring deep legal analysis and a nuanced understanding of the broader economic, political, and regulatory landscape. These matters have involved complex decision-making with significant implications across various sectors.
I have also contributed to regulatory adaptation processes in response to recent legal reforms in areas of national relevance. This has required constant legal updating, critical interpretation, and the practical application of new provisions, always with a preventive and risk-based approach. In all cases, the guiding principle has been to craft robust, sustainable legal solutions aligned with the country’s current challenges.
How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?
When it comes to diversity and inclusion, I believe the most effective approach is rooted in ongoing feedback and a proactive commitment to these values—not only within the legal profession, but as a broader principle in daily life. A key pillar of this commitment is the recognition of merit, education, vocation, and professional potential. This perspective enables the identification and development of talent in an unbiased and inclusive manner.
Rather than relying on isolated initiatives, I aim to foster a culture grounded in respect, equity, and openness – where diversity is not only acknowledged, but embraced as a collective strength.
