Career Biography
Kay Moon is Managing Director for Macquarie Asset Management’s Real Assets division, overseeing legal strategy for the Macquarie Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Funds (MAIF) platform, one of the largest infrastructure funds dedicated to the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Singapore, Kay manages legal oversight across complex cross-border transactions, strategic investments and asset management that shape the region’s infrastructure landscape.
Prior to joining Macquarie in 2023, Kay was Senior Corporate Counsel at Microsoft where she advised on strategic deals, commercial contracts and regulatory compliance for Korea as well as across Asia. Kay began her legal career at Linklaters, spending over a decade in the firm’s London office before relocating to Asia in 2018. She subsequently served as Counsel and Head of Korea Corporate Practice for Linklaters, based in Hong Kong, and later joined Baker McKenzie in Singapore as a Corporate M&A Partner.
Kay holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) from the University of Oxford. She transitioned into law through a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC) from the College of Law, London. Her unique blend of technical and legal training underpins her pragmatic and commercially attuned approach to legal leadership.
Recognised for her cross-cultural fluency and strategic insight, Kay is a trusted advisor to the investment teams, and a driving force behind legal innovation in infrastructure investment across Asia-Pacific.
