Career Biography

Maprang has more than 20 years of experience working in international law firms and as an in-house legal counsel, including serving as Head of Legal at a leading insurance company and Legal Director at a global IT commercial company. Her expertise spans advising multinational corporations on various complex legal matters, particularly in M&A transactions, international investment projects, commercial and e-commerce laws, internet and privacy laws, litigation, and regulatory matters. She has successfully managed numerous litigation and arbitration cases, as well as significant business projects. These include, for example, obtaining the Composite Broker License for T.C. Insurance Broker, Foreign Business Licenses, Direct Marketing License and E-Commerce Licenses for LINE (Thailand), E-Payment License, E-Money License for LINE Pay, and investment projects for LINE MAN Wongnai.

In recognition of her extensive experience and leadership, Maprang has been consistently named in The Legal 500’s GC Powerlist Thailand for years 2023–2025 and GC Powerlist Southeast Asia 2024.

Beyond her corporate roles, she actively contributes to the legal community. She served as a Director of the Law Chula Alumni Association and frequently participates as a guest speaker at events hosted by universities, industry associations, and professional organisations such as the Asian Legal Business – Thomson Reuters, DLA Piper seminars, Thai Arbitration Center (THAC), and as a judge for the Chula Legal Tech competition. She has also contributed thought-leadership articles on doing business in the region.

In addition, Maprang is a co-founder of the Thai Corporate Counsel Association (THAI-CCA), the first association dedicated to in-house lawyers in Thailand. Through this role, she has had the privilege of building a strong professional network and fostering collaboration between in-house counsel and private practitioners.
