Career Biography

Gabriel Li is a key driver in the legal and venture capital scene in Singapore and Southeast Asia. He presently serves as Vice President (Legal) at Kredivo Group – Southeast Asia’s leading provider of digital financial services.

As Vice President (Legal) for Kredivo, Li undertakes the primary responsibility for international legal transactions for the group in the Southeast Asian region. Much of his work involves overseeing the critical tasks of structuring and negotiating complex and first-of-its-kind acquisitions of highly regulated fintech entities.

His journey as a corporate lawyer began with a bond-free merit-based scholarship from the Lee Foundation in Singapore to undertake a double degree programme in finance and law. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in both fields, and trained in top-tiered law firms where he ran 100’s of transactions in the Southeast Asian region.

As a junior, he had won numerous prestigious legal competitions on both the national and international stage, gaining critical recognition as a rising star in the field of corporate law. Today, his service as a senior in-house legal counsel has earned him many industry recognition accolades

Outside of work, Gabriel is passionate about access to justice, and he co-founded The Legal Sauce (TLS), a ground-up initiative focused on providing free, colloquial, digestible legal FAQs to the underserved in our communities. TLS will be publishing half a dozen free legal FAQs for pre-incorporated charities with the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre in Singapore.
