How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?
Having global responsibility has enabled me to build a truly diverse team—comprising numerous nationalities, speaking a wide range of languages, and bringing together varied cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds. This diversity not only reflects our international footprint, but also enriches our thinking, strengthens our decision-making, and elevates the quality of our legal and compliance work.
Given the consistently high workload and the pressures that come with Legal being involved in every major crisis and dispute, we place strong emphasis on mental health and overall well-being. Our team fosters a culture of openness around these topics, encouraging honest dialogue and mutual support. We conduct regular awareness sessions to promote resilience, reduce stigma, and ensure that well-being remains a sustained priority—enabling us to deliver high performance over the long term.
Our overarching goal is to create an environment where every team member feels valued, heard, and empowered to perform at their best. While our wider Group invests actively in a range of concrete diversity and inclusion initiatives, I believe the most meaningful impact stems from embedding inclusion into our leadership behaviours and everyday ways of working.
