Career Summary and Key Achievements

Over the past two decades, I have built a career at the intersection of law, technology, and business, developing extensive experience in legal strategy, corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory affairs within the digital economy. Since 2006, I have been part of eBay, where I currently serve as Director, Head of Legal for Italy, and since 2024 I have also chaired the Board of Certilogo, a leader in digital authentication and sustainability solutions.

My professional journey began with a strong foundation in corporate and commercial law, but it was the dynamic and disruptive environment of eBay that shaped me as both a lawyer and a business partner. Over 19 years with the company, I have taken on progressively broader responsibilities across multiple jurisdictions, supporting the business in Europe and globally. My time at eBay has included pivotal experiences in London and San Francisco, which expanded my perspective on international markets, cross-border regulation, and the global digital landscape.

As Head of Legal for Italy, I lead the country legal function, managing a wide portfolio that includes commercial and consumer law, compliance, intellectual property, competition, regulatory engagement, litigation, and corporate governance. I work closely with senior leadership to align legal strategy with business objectives, enabling growth while safeguarding compliance in complex and fast-evolving markets. My role also requires me to engage with regulators, industry associations, and stakeholders at both national and European levels, contributing to the development of policy frameworks that balance innovation with consumer protection.

A key theme of my career has been building trust—within organisations, with regulators, and with customers. I have consistently focused on embedding compliance and ethical standards into business strategy, developing governance models that ensure resilience while fostering innovation. I have led cross-functional initiatives on issues such as platform regulation, data privacy, digital services, consumer rights, and sustainability. These projects have reinforced my belief that the role of the modern general counsel is not only to mitigate risk but also to shape the future direction of business responsibly.

Beyond eBay, my appointment as Chairperson of the Board at Certilogo represents a natural extension of my professional interests. Certilogo operates at the forefront of digital authentication and circular economy solutions, addressing some of the most pressing challenges in fashion, retail, and sustainability. In this role, I contribute to governance and strategic oversight, supporting the company’s mission to harness technology in the service of transparency, trust, and responsible commerce.
