How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
As chief compliance officer, I am also in charge to ensure that crisis management procedures are duly in place and approved and may be successfully and easily implemented over instability or crisis periods; in terms of alignment with the business needs and strategy, one main stream over these periods is given by keeping the “business as usual” option; depending on cases and how exceptionals are circumstances in terms of effects on the ongoing activities, the risk measurement and definition of resilience levels have to be however made in conjunction with the business functions.
What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?
Legal assistance and coverage further to outages to the e-mail infrastructure that we provide to ten million users with possible data breach impact; Compliance with the new rules and framework on AI.
What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?
AI generative systems and legal tech tools support are now integrative part in the support model of big/medium sized legal functions; we avail of support team from our partners to be completely aligned and updated on new functionalities and system developments; also these AI systems and tools are strictly monitored under the compliance rules applicable for the use and adoption of AI.
