How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

Addressing legal management during periods of instability or crisis is a challenge that requires a proactive and flexible strategy. My approach focuses on three pillars: anticipation, coordination, and communication. The goal is to align the legal strategy with the business strategy, not only to mitigate risks but also to strengthen resilience and ensure business continuity.

What are the main cases or transactions that you have been involved in recently?

I have successfully led the negotiation of the union charter for this management term, which has represented a significant challenge. This process has not only required meticulous management of the economic impact but has also demanded a deep understanding of the workers’ needs. My approach has focused on establishing a constructive dialogue to transform demands into opportunities for mutual growth. By successfully aligning the interests of the company with the aspirations of the staff, we have strengthened trust and motivated our people to become true strategic partners in achieving business objectives. This outcome demonstrates the importance of labour management that balances business sustainability with human well-being.

What do you see as the major legal challenges for businesses in Bolivia over the next five years, and how are you preparing to address them?

I see two major legal challenges for companies in Bolivia over the next five years, and I am preparing my team to proactively address them. Firstly, there is expected to be greater demand for cybersecurity and data protection, so it will be important to strengthen digital compliance systems and implement training programs. Secondly, labour and social dynamics related to business flexibility and the protection of workers’ rights, make it very important to maintain constant dialogue with unions and workers. My experience leading negotiations has taught me that a human and collaborative approach is key to finding mutually beneficial solutions.

In summary, my strategy is not just to react to changes, but to prepare the organisation to lead in a new environment, transforming legal challenges into opportunities to strengthen the trust and reputation of Nestlé Bolivia.
