Career Biography

Ignacio Posada is a legal counsel with outstanding experience in the areas of infrastructure and energy projects, where he has been working for over a decade.

After working at Estudio Ferrere, in the international services and free zones, he joined the multinational construction company Teyma-Abengoa, where he contributed to projects in the energy, concessions, PPP, project finance, and forestry sectors, involving work in Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, the United States, and Australia, among others.

Later he joined the National Development Corporation (Corporación Nacional para el Desarrollo) in Montevideo, a government agency with a strategic role in promoting public infrastructure and public-private partnership projects.

Appointed by Berkes Construcción y Montajes, he has been serving as legal and contract manager for more than six years at the Consorcio Constructor Ferrocarril Central, a temporary union of construction companies responsible for building the Central Railway Project (Ferrocarril Central de Uruguay), the most important public infrastructure project in the country so far in the 21st century.
