Career Biography
Noel Gaughran has more than 25 years of experience working in-house as a lawyer, primarily in banking and financial services.
Noel graduated from UCD with a first-class honours degree in Law from University College Dublin and subsequently completed an LLM (European Law). He qualified as a barrister in 1994 and has since obtained an MBA from the Smurfit School of Business as well as being a CEDR qualified mediator. He also holds a Diploma in Corporate Governance and has acted as a non-executive director for both commercial and non-profit organisations.
Noel is currently the Head of legal – Europe at Revolut where he leads a team of 70 lawyers providing legal advice to the European businesses in the Revolut Group. He has previously worked as general counsel – Europe at EML Payments as well as holding senior in-house roles in both Ulster Bank and Bank of Ireland.
