What are the key projects that you have been involved in over the past 12 months?

The Sisk legal team provides support and advice across all the Sisk group companies and is involved in all major Sisk projects in Ireland, the UK and Europe. Examples of recent projects include the extension to Center Parcs in Longford, the new Bon Secours Hospital in Limerick, the redevelopment of the “Glassbottle” site in Dublin and data centre developments across Ireland and the Nordics.

What do you think are the most important attributes for a modern in-house counsel to possess?

Modern in-house counsel must be strategic and commercially-minded partners to the business. Being able to provide focused and tailored advice is key, not just black-and-white legal answers. It is important to be flexible and able to adapt to the changing demands and requirements of the business. The ability to build relationships and become a trusted advisor is also essential and adopting a communication style and approach that works for the type of business in which we work is key to building those relationships – it is not one size fits all.
