The Argentina based legal team of multinational company Schlumberger was described by nominators as having ‘effective collaboration and open communication’, ensuring that the Buenos Aires based team is at the forefront of any legal risk posed to the company’s significant business interests in the region. Advising on a number of issues pertaining to the world’s largest oilfield services company, team members include Latin America South legal counsel Fernando Duarte, who is not only responsible for his home market of Argentina, but the entirety of Schlumberger’s Latin America South Geomarket, which includes Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. Contracts manager Julian Ferreiro is also recognised, having spent over a decade at Pan American Energy as a senior legal counsel he is currently responsible for the oversight of Schlumberger’s contract management across the entire Latin America South region.
