Career Biography

Nopparuj Sallakanonta is the Head of Legal (Corporate Legal Director) at Thoresen Thai Agencies PCL. (TTA), where he leads the Group Legal function and serves as a trusted advisor to the Board and executive leadership. He oversees legal strategy across TTA’s diverse portfolio, including energy, shipping, offshore services, real estate, and tech ventures. His role covers corporate governance, regulatory affairs, complex M&A, litigation, and high-value commercial negotiations.

With over 14 years of legal experience, Nopparuj has advised Thai conglomerates, multinational corporations, and private equity firms on high-value cross-border transactions, joint ventures, and regulatory matters in Thailand and throughout Southeast Asia. He previously practiced at top-tier international and domestic law firms, including Allen Overy Shearman Sterling (Thailand) (A&O Shearman), Blumenthal Richter & Sumet (BRS), and International Legal Counsellors Thailand Ltd. (ILCT). Recognized as a core legal advisor in Real Estate, Regulatory & Compliance, M&A, Antitrust, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and Corporate Restructuring, he has a proven track record in multi-billion-baht deals, strategic restructurings, and complex project developments. His expertise spans both transactional and regulatory work, particularly in highly regulated industries.

Nopparuj is known for his pragmatic approach, commercial insight, and ability to navigate regulatory complexities with efficiency. His strong relationships with key government agencies in Thailand further enhance his ability to deliver strategic legal solutions in highly regulated sectors. He holds an LL.M. in International Commercial Law from the University of Kent and an LL.B. from Assumption University. He is a licensed Thai attorney, a Notarial Services Attorney, and a member of the Thai Bar Association.
