Adam Meshel is Citi’s head of legal and serves as the general counsel and corporate secretary of Citibank and sits on Citibank’s executive management committee. Prior to his current role, Adam acted as the global general counsel of Citi’s Institutional clients group and sat on its executive and operating Committee. Prior to that role, Adam acted as the general counsel to Citi’s Global Banking and Capital Markets Origination businesses. From 1998 until 2005, Adam focused his legal practice on capital markets and merger and acquisitions transactions at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he also held the position of head of compliance for the Financing Group. Prior to working at Goldman Sachs, Adam was a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City. Adam holds AB and JD degrees from Columbia University.
