How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

Navigating legal aspects during crises, and in general, requires a solid understanding of business operations and strategy. This allows the legal team to provide relevant legal guidance and become trusted advisors.

As in-house counsel, we support the business by managing risks and ensuring compliance, guiding stakeholders through the legal landscape. Aligning our legal strategy with the business strategy helps keep the organisation resilient. Legal advice must balance sound legal principles with commercial goals.

An open, curious and creative mindset is essential for driving positive outcomes and safeguarding NNE in a dynamic and challenging environment. This ever-changing setting ensures that no two days are the same, keeping the work engaging, stimulating and full of growth potential.

What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?

NNE has been on an impressive growth journey over the last years, currently executing some of the world’s largest pharma engineering projects. As experts in end-to-end pharma engineering, we design and build pharma facilities that are essential for millions of patients worldwide. NNE’s success is built on strong relationships with colleagues and customers, as collaboration, shared knowledge and teamwork enable us to deliver at scale.

What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?

New technologies, including AI, are advancing rapidly. I believe we will increasingly discuss the integration of AI in our legal advice, particularly how these technological opportunities align with business expectations. As business processes become more optimised and standardised, the legal function is expected to contribute in a business-oriented, flexible, and solution-focused manner, supported by technology.

Staying updated on these developments requires a growth mindset, curiosity, and a commitment to understanding and using new technologies effectively. Continuous learning, collaborating with tech experts, and joining professional networks are key to keeping up with advancements in the legal tech landscape.
