Career Biography

Rima Hadid serves as General Counsel of the Emirates Investment Authority, where she leads the Legal & Compliance function supporting the UAE’s federal sovereign wealth portfolio. She advises the Board and executive leadership on high-stakes transactions and partnerships, portfolio governance, regulatory engagement, and enterprise risk; pairing strategic counsel with disciplined execution.

Hadid is a longstanding fixture of Legal 500’s GC Powerlist: Middle East – featured every edition since the list’s inception and again in 2025 – a testament to her calibre, professionalism, and standing in the region. Her experience spans cross-border M&A, fund and capital-markets matters, infrastructure and technology investments, and complex regulatory change. Before EIA, she held senior roles advising financial institutions and government-linked entities, building operating models that scale, develop talent, and embed robust compliance.
